The Devil's Mermaid
The Devil's Mermaid
About the Design
They've just washed up on the shore, 'The Devil's Mermaid' has joined the 'Burlesque Zoo'! The fabled creature, known as the Sabertooth Boarfish was said to have crashed upon Japan's shores in 2011 after the tsunami. The cryptid's horrid appearance inspired me to create a juxtaposition of pretty mermaid / scary monster. It felt only befitting to name them 'The Devil’s Mermaid' as sort of like a nod to how national parks name so many things with the word "devil" in them. (ex: Devil’s Tower, Devil’s Punchbowl, Devil’s Bridge, etc) 'The Devil's Mermaid' has ended the journey of many seafaring people and will happily sit on your walls and tell you their tales! Catch a ‘Devil’s Mermaid’ for yourself today! Original Artwork by MelJo JoJo.
